Obi-Wan Kenobi Web Series OTT Release Date: Obi-Wan Kenobi was a short-lived web series. Filmmaker Joby Harold will be behind the camera for the action-adventure series. Story

Ten years after the events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith,” in which Obi-Wan Kenobi suffered his greatest defeat: Anakin Skywalker, his best friend and Jedi pupil, turned to the dark side and became the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader, the story begins.

Cast & Crew

Hayden Christensen, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse and Kumail Nanjiani also star in Obi-Wan Kenobi, which was directed by Benny Safdie and written by Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, as well as Indira Varma and Rupert Friend. For this project, director Joby Harold collaborated with writers/producers/stars/executives Ewan McGregor, Michelle Rejwan and Deborah Chow under the umbrella of Luca Films, with Disney+Hotstar providing financial support.

Star Wars fans have been waiting patiently for Disney and Hotstar to reveal Obi-Wan Kenobi’s first look. Disney+Hotstar will premiere the series May 27, 2022, however.
