Braun Strowman has been a prominent figure on WWE‘s main roster ever since bursting onto the scene as a member of The Wyatt Family in August 2015.
However, despite constantly being involved in storylines and main events, he is yet to find himself in a high-profile rivalry in the build-up to any of the three WrestleManias he has taken part in, and it looks like he will have to settle for a position further down the card once again at WrestleMania 35 on April 7.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at five reasons why “The Monster Among Men” has lost momentum in WWE recently…
#5 Elbow surgery
When somebody is out of action for a little while with an injury, they usually make a surprising return to a huge ovation and fans are instantly happy to see them again.
In Braun Strowman’s case, he did not compete in a competitive match for two months between November 2018 and January 2019 but, as he already had two matches lined up (vs. Baron Corbin at TLC and vs. Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble), it felt like he never went away.
Had those Corbin and Lesnar matches not been announced in advance, I’m sure he would have returned to television in January after a two-month absence and quickly picked up momentum again.
