#2 Who will Asuka face at WrestleMania 35?

With Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair busy targeting Ronda Rousey and the Raw Women’s Championship ahead of WrestleMania 35, Asuka has been left as the undisputed star of WWE’s women’s division on SmackDown Live. She defeated Mandy Rose to retain her title at Fastlane, while she picked up a non-title victory over Sonya Deville on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown.

Unless WWE surprises everyone by bringing up another new woman from NXT, the possible contenders to face Asuka at WrestleMania are as follows: Rose, Deville, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, Carmella, Naomi, Zelina Vega, Lana, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay.

Rose and Deville are too busy fighting with each other right now, while Evans is yet to win a main-roster match and Cross has vanished from WWE programming recently. As for the others, they have all either already lost to Asuka or they haven’t been built up anywhere near enough to challenge for the title at WrestleMania.

With no clear singles contender, it looks as though we could be heading for a multi-person SmackDown Women’s Championship match for the second time in three years.
