WWE announced on January 29 that Dean Ambrose will not extend his WWE contract when it expires in April, and it has now emerged that Hideo Itami is also leaving the company.
Fightful reported after Tuesday’s episode of 205 Live, which saw Akira Tozawa defeat Itami, that the Japanese star is expected to be granted his release.
The 37-year-old is reportedly unsatisfied with the creative direction of his character in WWE and he has already changed his name back to KENTA on Twitter.
The former Ring of Honor star seemingly bid farewell to WWE when he tweeted “THANK YOU” after his match on 205 Live.
