WWE has announced that Ronda Rousey will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Ruby Riott at Elimination Chamber on Sunday, February 17.
“The Baddest Woman on the Planet” is already scheduled to face Becky Lynch in a match at WrestleMania 35, so she is the overwhelming favourite to retain her title against the leader of The Riott Squad.
With that in mind, let’s play Fantasy Booker and take a look at five ways that Rousey vs. Riott could finish when they meet in Houston, Texas next Sunday…
#5 Ruby Riott wins…
Ruby Riott is one of the most impressive female Superstars in WWE right now but, just like last year when she challenged Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship before WrestleMania 34, it would take one of the biggest swerves in WWE history for her to win the Raw Women’s Championship from Ronda Rousey before WrestleMania 35.
The only way she can realistically pick up the victory is if she defeats Rousey via disqualification, with Becky Lynch possibly getting involved to play some mind games in the build-up to their marquee ‘Mania match.
This outcome could also work to set up a rematch between Rousey and Riott on Raw (we all know how much Rousey likes proving herself the night after PPVs) or at Fastlane.
