The WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames event took place in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, November 17.

Here’s a recap of what happened on the show…

Match 1: Matt Riddle vs. Kassius Ohno

Summary: Matt Riddle surprisingly called out Kassius Ohno at the start of the event after the veteran claimed on the kickoff show that he would be able to expose Riddle “in one-second flat” during their scheduled match on Wednesday’s episode of NXT. Ohno accepted the challenge but the match didn’t last long, with Riddle knocking his opponent out in mere seconds with a knee to the face to get the win.

Verdict: Nobody expected a fifth match on this TakeOver card, so it was a nice surprise to see new NXT signing Riddle kick off the show. The Los Angeles crowd was fully behind “The King of Bros” as soon as his music hit. I must admit, I was not a massive fan of the manner of the victory, but we’ll see where the story goes!
