#3 The New Day will counter The Bar
The rivalry between The New Day and The Bar has spanned over two years, two brands and multiple Tag Team title storylines. Back in December 2016, Sheamus & Cesaro defeated their long-term rivals at Roadblock: End of the Line to end their historic reign as Raw Tag Team champions, and their most recent high-profile triumph against the trio came at SmackDown 1000 in October 2018 when they became SmackDown Tag Team champions.
Sunday’s Fastlane event saw Sheamus & Cesaro do Vince McMahon’s dirty work for him by defeating Kofi Kingston in a 2-on-1 handicap match. Two nights later, this week’s SmackDown Live saw Aleister Black, Ricochet & The Hardy Boyz face Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura & The Bar in an eight-man tag match, which came to an end when The New Day began to brawl with everyone to cause a disqualification.
There is clearly unfinished business between The Bar and The New Day, so it’s safe to assume that Big E and Xavier Woods could have a part to play if Sheamus and Cesaro go one-on-one with Kingston next week.
