WWE SmackDown Live (Mar. 12, 2019): Results, Grades, Review, Winners, Highlights

Match 1: Aleister Black, Ricochet & The Hardy Boyz vs. Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura & The Bar

Summary: This was a back-and-forth eight-man tag match which looked as though it could go either way. Towards the end, Sheamus’ Brogue Kick on Matt Hardy sparked a brawl involving all eight competitors, with Aleister Black, Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura all connecting with kicks to the head before Jeff Hardy hit a Twist of Fate on Nakamura and Cesaro, followed by a Swanton Bomb. The New Day then appeared and attacked everybody in the match, causing a disqualification. Following the match, The Usos cut a backstage promo on all the tag teams, specifically mentioning The Hardy Boyz as potential opponents.

Verdict: This was a typically energetic multi-man match which showcased Ricochet and The Hardy Boyz’s skills more than anybody else. The post-match segment involving The Usos suggests that we’ll see them face The Hardyz at WrestleMania. Let’s hope, after just three two-on-two WrestleMania main-show Tag Team title matches in 12 years (and a combined match time of 13 minutes), that they get enough time to have a decent match.

Grade: B-
