“The Viper” became a WWE world champion for the 13th time when he defeated Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 33, while he lost the United States Championship to Jinder Mahal in a Fatal 4-Way match at WrestleMania 34.
The SmackDown Live roster is stacked with talent right now, so let’s take a look at four possible matches that the former Evolution member could be involved in on April 7…
#4 Samoa Joe
Randy Orton and Samoa Joe are two of the most villainous Superstars on SmackDown Live, but both guys are perfectly capable of becoming a babyface before WrestleMania 35.
“The Viper” receives some of the loudest crowd reactions in WWE every time he hits his RKO finisher, regardless of whether he is a good guy or bad guy, while fans often chant “Joe! Joe! Joe!” during Samoa Joe’s entrance despite the former NXT champion’s heel status.
Both men have attacked each other in recent weeks, with Orton hitting an RKO and Joe locking in a Coquina Clutch, and the crowd reacted well on both occasions.
If WWE decides to continue the attacks beyond the upcoming six-man Elimination Chamber match, there would be few complaints from fans if we saw Orton vs. Joe at WrestleMania 35.
