Having agreed to apologise to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon for attacking them last week, “The Man” was informed by Vince McMahon that she has been suspended for 60 days and that Ronda Rousey will have a new ‘Mania opponent: Charlotte Flair.
In all likelihood, unless WWE wants to alienate its entire fanbase, Lynch will be re-added to the main event at some point over the next few weeks, but how?
Let’s play Fantasy Booker and take a look at four ways that the Royal Rumble winner can earn her spot in the main event again…
#4 She wins a match at Fastlane
The pay-per-view events between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania feel somewhat unnecessary every year. This Sunday, for example, Daniel Bryan and Ronda Rousey will walk into Elimination Chamber as champions and, barring a huge storyline swerve, they will both walk out as champions.
There are some exceptions, of course, notably in 2017 when Bray Wyatt won the WWE Championship between the Rumble and ‘Mania, but Elimination Chamber and Fastlane tend to be relatively low-key and predictable when it comes to big matches.
With that in mind, perhaps WWE will agree to let Becky Lynch return to the WrestleMania main event on the condition that she wins a match (say, against Charlotte Flair?) at Fastlane on March 10.
