The January 29 episode of WWE SmackDown Live began with Charlotte Flair interrupting an in-ring promo from Becky Lynch.
“The Queen” pointed out how her former best friend pulled a trick out of her book by entering a match she was not originally supposed to be in — Sunday’s Royal Rumble — and winning it.
Lynch, who is currently scheduled to face Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 35, punched Flair in the face and began to limp her way up the ramp.
Flair caught up with the Rumble winner and the long-term rivals began to brawl until they were separated by officials.
It was reported by the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer after the January 28 episode of Raw that WWE plans to add Flair to the Rousey vs. Lynch match at WrestleMania, and this week’s SmackDown Live certainly suggested that there is unfinished business between Flair and Lynch.
“The Man” even mentioned on Twitter after the segment that “The Queen” is shoe-horning her way into another high-profile match, simply tweeting: “#ShoehornCharlotte”
